There is no download because none is needed. Cutlist Evolution is a free cut list optimizer that runs in any web browser on a Windows PC, Mac or Linux machine, with nothing to install. Open the site, enter your parts and stock, and the layouts appear in the same tab. It is free to use, with a generous limit on parts and stock, and a native iOS app exists for iPhone and iPad.

A browser app on a PC is not a compromise, it is the stronger setup. You are always on the current version, because there is nothing to patch. It runs on the office Windows machine, the Mac at home and the shop laptop without asking anyone for install rights, and a cutting list started on one opens on the others. When the layout is done, it prints or exports as a PDF from the same window, and each part can carry a printed label so the pile at the saw stays sorted.
It also spares you the workaround this search usually ends in: running a phone app on a PC through an Android emulator. An emulator is a second program to install, configure and update, all to reach software that a browser tab opens directly at full desktop size.
Desktop is where the optimizer is most comfortable. Parts paste straight in from a spreadsheet, or import from a CSV, and 3D models come in from Fusion 360 or Shapr3D via OBJ export. The bigger screen fits the cutting diagram and the parts list side by side, which is exactly what you want when checking a layout before committing a sheet. Everything the free optimizer includes works the same way on every platform.
The optimizer runs online, so it wants an internet connection. Most shops have one at the machine that prints the cutting lists, and that is enough: the browser does the work, the PDF lives on your machine afterwards. But some workshops run air-gapped, and that is a real limit rather than a footnote.
