Lay out glass cuts that respect score-and-snap cutting, keep valuable offcuts usable, and fit solar or window film into standard roll widths. Free, in the browser.
Give the optimizer your panel sizes and the stock sheets you buy, and it returns a cutting layout for every sheet, the number of sheets the job needs, and the offcuts left over. With glass the offcut line matters more than with almost any other material: stock is expensive, a half sheet is genuinely reusable, and a layout that leaves one large remnant instead of three strips has paid for the software on its own. Offcuts go back into your stock list and get used on the next job.

Flat glass is cut by scoring a line and snapping along it, and a snap only works when the score runs the full width of the piece. That means every cut must travel edge to edge: no stopping halfway, no turning corners inside the sheet. In cutting terms this is a guillotine layout, and it is one of the engine's published cut types. A layout drawn for a CNC router will often be uncuttable on a glass bench, so the optimizer has to know which kind of shop it is planning for, and this one does.
Two more habits of the trade fit the same settings. Seamed or polished edges want a trim allowance, which is what the per-edge trim setting is for. And toughened glass cannot be cut at all after tempering, so those jobs run the other way around: the optimizer produces the exact-size order list for the toughening plant, and the layout work moves to the annealed stock you cut in-house.
Film is the roll-material half of the same trade. Solar film, safety film and decorative window film come on rolls in standard widths, and the waste lives in the drops: a 1,540 mm pane cut from a 1,830 mm roll leaves a strip that either matches a smaller window later or goes in the bin. The optimizer treats rolls as their own material type, fitting your glass sizes across the roll width and down its length, so a whole job's film order comes back as metres of roll rather than guesswork.
Installers usually cut film oversize and trim it on the glass, so put the working margin into the part sizes and let the layout absorb it. Zero kerf is the right setting for a knife cut.
Panes and film drops arrive as a measurement list, and the optimizer takes them the same way: type them in, paste from a spreadsheet, or import a CSV. Each part can carry a label, so the printed sheet that comes back matches the order the glass leaves the bench. The layouts export as PDF cutting diagrams, and paid tiers add CSV, SVG and DXF for shops feeding a cutting table.
